Rochester, N.Y. – This week, Monroe County golf courses will start offering golf carts to individuals living with disabilities, county officials said Wednesday.

The county says individuals seeking a cart must have a handicap parking permit, a doctor’s note with an official letterhead or a handicap license plate.

Golf courses at Durand Eastman, Genesee Valley and Churchville Parks reopened last month with restrictions in place amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Carts will be offered starting Thursday, and must be reserved in advance by calling the golf course. They will be sanitized after each use.

Tee times are required to be made online.
